Awarded ‘Highly Recommend’ by James Halliday 90 points Known as the ‘Peoples Wine’ and originally a northern Italian variety. It is a medium bodied, fruity wine with vibrant colours and aromatics of red cherries, hints of strawberries and spices. It has low tannins and refreshing acidity on the palate.
Matured in seasoned oak for 13 months, it is an enjoyable young wine, but will cellar well and continue to improve for another 5 – 10 years.
This wine pairs well with chorizo, prosciutto and cheese.
